WWE news: Samoa Joe coming to WWE in June

Samoa Joe was one of the biggest stars in TNA Impact Wrestling history, but after over a decade with that company, it looks like Samoa Joe will finally make his way to the WWE. When Joe left TNA, he went back for some shows with Ring of Honor Wrestling, which is where he got his first break at. He finished up his run there in March and started talking to the WWE. Now, 411mania reported on Wednesday that Samoa Joe might start in the WWE in June.

Of course, Samoa Joe has to complete his medical testing and other pre-hire procedures, but there is little that should stop him from making his way to the WWE. The big question now is whether he will start off in WWE NXT or if he will just bypass that and move on to the main roster. The WWE has been bringing in a lot of indie wrestlers lately and have names like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and the recently signed Uhaa Nation in the NXT territory.

However, Samoa Joe is a little different story, as he was a huge star in TNA Impact Wrestling and has wrestled with names like Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and many other former WWE stars. If anyone is ready to come to the WWE and move straight to the main roster, it is Samoa Joe. However, the WWE may want to break him in slowly and he could be a huge selling point for NXT, especially if he feuds with someone like Kevin Owens.

Samoa Joe is a former Ring of Honor world champion, which puts him on the same level as current WWE main roster stars like Daniel Bryan and current world champion Seth Rollins. He is also a former TNA world champion, although the WWE mostly ignores the accomplishments of stars from that company. There is no actual confirmation that he has signed a contract yet, but that should just be a matter of time.
